Ali has always loved art, and even as a young girl frequently had a paintbrush in her hand. She received her bachelor of fine arts in graphic arts & photography from Kingston University, and had a solo show and took part in several group shows post graduation. As happens with many young artists, over time Ali turned her attention toward raising her family and building a career in graphic design, and away from painting.
Then, six years ago, Ali received a life-altering breast cancer diagnosis that changed the way she viewed the world. Suddenly, painting and gardening became her escape, allowing her to focus on everything beautiful around her rather than negative thoughts.
Now in remission, she pulls inspiration from nature, and loves to paint florals with colourations that reflect her emotions and feelings.
